Dak Prescott‘s tug-of-war with the Cowboys ended after the team officially used its franchise tag on the QB. But that didn’t sit well with Dak’s little brother Tad, who took to Twitter to make his opinion clear.

“There is a reason I was never a @dallascowboys fan growing up or before they drafted @dak,” Tad tweeted before hinting that his brother may be looking for an out somewhere down the line.

Dak has been seeking a new contract with the Cowboys for a while. And while the likes of Ezekiel Elliott and Patrick Mahomes have signed mammoth deals, Dak and the Cowboys were unable to meet in the middle.

According to sources, Dak was seeking a 4-year deal. The Cowboys pushed back by offering him a 5-year deal, $175 million deal, which would’ve put Dak at around $35 million a year with $106 of that $175 being guaranteed money. Prescott reportedly would have agreed to a 5-year deal if the fifth year was north of $45 million.

So now that the Cowboys have exercised their franchise tag on Dak, he’ll under contract during the upcoming season at $31.4 million. After that, Dak can hit the free agency market during which the Cowboys can either cut ties or match a suitor’s offer.
