‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Heading to HBO Max on Christmas Day

It seems Wonder Woman 1984 will simultaneously premiere on HBO Max and in U.S. theaters on Dec. 25.
Deadline reported the news Wednesday night, after the DC flick experienced multiple delays due to the ongoing pandemic. Though Warner Bros. has yet to comment, the film’s director Patty Jenkins confirmed the move in a tweet, writing: “Watch it IN THEATERS, where it is made safe to do so … And available in the safety of your home on HBO Max … Happy holidays to all of you. We hope you enjoy our film as much as we enjoyed making it.”
According to Variety, Wonder Woman 1984 will hit international markets, where HBO Max is not available, on Dec. 16.
