Dallas Cowboys Reportedly Interested In Amari Cooper Trade

It’s that time of year again. The trade deadline is fast approaching and teams facing down issues they didn’t predict in the offseason are looking to make deals. The Dallas Cowboys are looking to give Dak Prescott some weapons, reportedly in the hunt for just about any wide receiver they can land.
According to ESPN, the Cowboys are talking to the Oakland Raiders about potentially trading for Amari Cooper. Their unnamed sources say that the team is doing research around the receiver, calling friends, coaches and anyone who can give them information about the 24-year-old pass-catcher.
The Cowboys aren’t the only ones interested. According to ESPN, the Redskins and the Colts are also interested in the young receiver.
According to Dan Graziano, the Cowboys are also looking into Buffalo Bills receiver Kelvin Benjamin and Miami Dolphins receiver DeVante Parker.
The Cowboys search skews young, but if they are looking for a veteran, the Denver Broncos are reportedly looking to trade their star receiver Demaryius Thomas. The Raiders are asking for a premium for Cooper, unwilling to give up the wide receiver for anything less than a first-round draft pick.
While Cooper broke 1,000 yards receiving in both of his first two seasons in the NFL, the last two seasons have been down years. He racked up 680 yards in 14 games last season and has pulled in 22 receptions for 280 yards this season.
