YoungBoy Never Broke Again Arrested on Outstanding Federal Warrant

Written by on March 23, 2021

TMZ has learned that YoungBoy Never Broke Again, real name Kentrell Gaulden, was arrested following a dramatic scene Monday where he allegedly attempted to evade the FBI and LAPD who were pursuing him over an outstanding federal warrant.

When YoungBoy’s car was spotted, the FBI and LAPD tried to get him to pull over, but the situation only escalated. When his vehicle finally came to a halt, the rapper tried to get away on foot. A K-9 was deployed to find him, and a perimeter was set up to prevent him from getting out of their sight. Their efforts were successful, and he’s currently in FBI custody.

It was reported in February that YoungBoy was under federal investigation following his September 2020 arrest on drug and firearms charges after police responded to reports that a large group of people were brandishing weapons while filming a music video. A total of 16 people were cuffed that day.

Even though marijuana, hydrocodone, and several handguns and rifles were found at the scene, a rep for the rapper maintained that none of the drugs or weapons belonged to him. Since YoungBoy is a convicted felon, he’s forbidden under state and federal laws from possessing a firearm. No formal charges were handed down at the time of his arrest, so he was released on a $75,000 bond.

A judge ordered for a $300,000 cashier’s check and more than $40,000 in cash, both of which were seized from the rapper at the scene, to be returned to YoungBoy.

Yaya Mayweather, who has a child with YoungBoy, took to IG shortly after it was announced that the rapper had been arrested. “My day has been completely ruined,” she wrote.

Stay tuned for more details regarding YoungBoy’s most recent arrest.
