Travis Scott Supports Beto O’Rourke At Houston Rally

As one Texan who seemingly came out of nowhere to be a recognized face on the national stage, Travis Scott knows what Beto O’Rourke is going through. And he wants to lend a hand. The Democratic candidate putting up the strongest challenge for a blue Texas Senate seat that the state has seen in some while had Scott with him at a recent rally in Houston.
Using a bullhorn, the Astroworld rapper encouraged all of his young fans to vote on November 6.
“I just want to reiterate real quick that all the kids need to go out [to the polls],” he said. “We need to just tell our peers, whenever we’re jamming music, whenever we at these concerts, we need to just tell our peers to step out and vote.”
“From 18 and up, we can change the world,” he added.
Scott is far from the first famous person to support Beto’s underdog candidacy against incumbent Republican and sentient can of cream of mushroom soup Ted Cruz. Lebron James was spotted wearing a Beto for Senate hat before a recent game in San Antonio, the latest bit of political speech from the NBA superstar who famously sparred with President Donald Trump and produced an upcoming series about the intersection of politics and sports.
Scott does have one advantage over the endlessly more famous James. There’s a chance he can actually vote for Beto, being from Texas. Check out his speech up top.
