Boosie Badazz Releases Blues Album ‘Boosie Blues Cafe’

Boosie Badazz has fulfilled his promise. The Louisiana rapper delivered “one of the coldest blues albums” with Boosie Blues Café on Thanksgiving. Boosie’s first venture into blues music came as a surprise in more ways than one. Aside from being a clear departure from what you heard on his mixtape Boonk Gang earlier this year, the announcement of Blues Café‘s arrival was made just a few days ago when he revealed the album cover, which featured a photo of himself eating his own Rap Snacks “Louisiana Hot” wavy chips.
The tracklist for Blues Café fulfills a theme fit for Thanksgiving with a menu serving up everything being offered on the 17-song project.
As for what you can expect to hear from Blues Café, Boosie is serious about this being a “real blues album.” “My blues album is a real blues album,” Badazz told Pitchfork. “Blues beats, blues instruments. It’s one of the coldest blues albums people will hear.”
