Giannis Antetokounmpo on Mario Hezonja Stepping Over Him: ‘I’m Going to Punch Him Next Time’
Written by SOURCE on December 2, 2018
Mark your calendars for Christmas Day because Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t going to be in the holiday spirit when the Milwaukee Bucks take on the New York Knicks. The Greek Freak has his sights set on punching Mario Hezonja next time their paths cross. Following the Bucks’ 136-134 overtime loss to the Knicks, Antetokounmpo was asked if he was bothered by Hezonja tapping into his inner A.I. and stepping over him after he threw down a dunk which was heavily contested in transition by Giannis.
Antetokounmpo was not only clearly bothered, but he also plans on getting his revenge on Hezonja.
Hezonja’s dunk appeared to light a fire under Giannis, who ended the game with 33 points, 19 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and two blocks. Shortly after that play, Antetokounmpo flushed down an angry jam of his own, punctuating the moment with an aggressive shoulder budge on Knicks forward Noah Vonleh.
Antetokounmpo should consider Hezonja’s posterization as the Knicks evening the score with The Greek Freak. Let’s not forget that Giannis had arguably the best dunk of the 2017-18 season when he jumped over Tim Hardaway Jr. to throw down an alley-oop.
Plan your Christmas accordingly. The Bucks and Knicks play on Christmas at 12 p.m. ET.
