French producer/DJ Gesaffelstein is back with his new single “Lost in the Fire” featuring the Weeknd.
The haunting cut will appear on Gesaffelstein’s sophomore studio album Hyperion, the long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s Aleph. The DJ and singer teased the cut on social media this week, posting an 11-second visual that shows them sitting back-to-back as the camera pans.
The 31-year-old also produced the Weeknd’s “I Was Never There” and “Hurt You” tracks off the singer’s 2018 EP My Dear Melancholy.
Hyperion is expected to arrive in the upcoming months and will include the previously released single “Reset.” While we wait for details about the project, you can check out “Lost in the Fire” now on Apple Music, iTunes, and Spotify.
Fans can also catch Gesaffelstein at this year’s Coachella festival and at the Governor’s Ball in May. The DJ will also close out the third episode of the Weekend’s Memento Mori Radio Show tonight with a hand-picked mix. The broadcast began at midnight ET on Beats 1 Radio.
The Weeknd has confirmed that he is currently locked in album mode and intends to deliver new music “soon.”
“I want you guys to be the first to know that I’m working on my new album right now,” he told Toronto fans back in November. “Chapter six coming soon. Let’s get it.”
