A-Rod Clears Up Story of Kylie Jenner Bragging About Billionaire Status

Alex Rodriguez‘s new feature in Sports Illustrated is making waves, though not particularly in a positive way. In the publication’s “Where Are They Now” segment, the former Yankee player chronicled his post-MLB life, though many readers are focused on some egregious statements he made.
For example, when speaking about this year’s Met Gala ceremony, he spoke highly of the people who were seated at the same table as he was, though he referred to Idris Elba as “the black guy from The Wire,” and actor Henry Golding as the “Asian gentleman from Rich Asians, the lead.”
Most notably from the SI piece is his claim that Kylie Jenner was at the Gala bragging about her current financial status. “Kylie was talking about Instagram and her lipstick, and how rich she is,” Rodriguez recounted.
Upon catching wind of this, Jenner retorted by saying A-Rod’s account of the conversation was false. “Umm no i didn’t. We only spoke about Game of Thrones,” she said on Twitter.
Instead of doubling down on his initial claims, Rodriguez responded by saying, “OMG that’s right @KylieJenner!! It was me talking about you and your makeup line and how much my girls love you. #GOT #respect #alllove.”
Back in March, the Kylie Cosmetics boss was named the youngest self-made billionaire by Forbes. The term “self-made” aside, becoming a billionaire at the age of 21 justifies some gloating, even if just a little, but it seems her conversation with Rodriguez had nothing to do with net worth.
