Adidas Says It’s Looking Into Claims Against Gosha Rubchinskiy

Adidas has issued a statement in regards to recent allegations made against Russian streetwear designer and frequent collaborator Gosha Rubchinskiy.
An Adidas spokesperson has told Sole Collector that the brand takes “any allegation of this nature extremely seriously” and that it is “currently looking into the claim that has been made.”
The 34-year old designer of his eponymous label was recently accused of sending provocative messages to a 16-year old boy over social media. Rubchinskiy allegedly asked the minor for suggestive images of himself. Another victim also came forward saying the the popular designer requested photos from him as well.
In response, a rep for Rubchinskiy told Hypebeast that the alleged victims were being considered for “street casting for a look book shoot” and that the designer had no ill intentions.
Adidas has not confirmed whether or not it will continue to collaborate with Rubchinskiy.
