adidas to Open ‘Halo’ Concept Storefront in Toronto

Adidas will soon be launching its first-ever large-format ‘halo’ storefront in Toronto.
The halo concept brings several of the adidas sub-brands together while creating an immersive customer experience. Though the concept was launched in Dubai last year, this will be the world’s first large-format halo store.
Clocking in at over 12,000 square feet, the new store concept will boast “a fully immersive consumer experience,” including Toronto-inspired products, a customization lounge, a community activation space, and personal shopping and fitting services.
The immersive elements at the Dubai location include activation zones with advanced product displays, engagement areas, and a “Maker Lab” where customers can get involved in the design process. With more space to work with in Toronto, we can expect these features and possibly more.
On top of the immersive components, the halo concept has an expanded focus on sustainability, innovation, and women shopping at the storefront. Other features include RFID fitting rooms, and a “bring it to me” smart app feature.
“Drawing inspiration from the mosaic of the city where art, culture, and diversity meet, the new store will bring sustainability to light through an urban landscape lens,” says a statement from adidas.
There’s also a little something for all the sneakerheads out there, who’ll be able to bring their favourite sneakers back to life at the “Crep Project’’ experience. At the Dubai location, the Crep Project is also an event space where workshops that embody sneaker culture can be held.
The Toronto Adidas halo storefront is set to open in June, and will be located on the ground level of the Eaton Centre where the Forever 21 used to be.
