All-Out Brawl Breaks Out at End of Kansas/Kansas State Game

The conclusion of Tuesday’s basketball game between the Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas State Wildcats turned into an all-out brawl that spilled into the Allen Fieldhouse crowd.
All hell broke loose after Kansas State’s DaJuan Gordon stole the ball as Kansas was trying to run out the remaining seconds in the Jayhawks’ 81-60 victory. Gordon’s meaningless attempt was all for naught when Silvio De Sousa blocked the layup, and walked over him, causing the Wildcats’ bench to immediately pounce.
During the melee, De Sousa is seen in the clip below picking up a chair, but someone was able to pry it from his hands before he tossed it.
After officials reviewed footage of the incident, De Sousa and every player who came off the bench was ejected. One second was added back on the clock, and Kansas State was given a free throw attempt for De Sousa’s technical foul.
Since the Internet never misses a beat, video of the brawl featuring audio from Jim Ross already exists.
University of Kansas coach Bill Self addressed the incident shortly after it went down.
