Amazon Blasted Over ‘Daddy’s Little Slut’ Children’s Shirt

Written by on November 8, 2019

It seems you can buy anything on Amazon—even wildly inappropriate children’s clothes.

The e-commerce giant has found itself in more hot water over a kids tee emblazoned with the phrase “Daddy’s Little Slut.” Journalist Yashar Ali shared a screenshot of the disturbing product via Twitter on Friday in the hopes it would be quickly pulled from Amazon’s website.

“Posting here in hopes it’ll expedite removal from Amazon,” he captioned the tweet, which has since garnered nearly 2,000 likes and 750 retweets.

Twitter users quickly blasted Amazon for allowing the design to appear on its platform, and demanded the listing be removed.

“Are you serious @amazon? Please pull this shirt and any similar articles of clothing immediately,” one user tweeted.

“Humanity was a mistake, Example #3,415,621,” another wrote.

According to the Independent, the T-shirt was listed by third-party retailer Onlybabycare, which primarily sells graphic tees for men, women, and children. The design in question was reportedly listed back in June for $18, and was described as “suitable” for various events, including “a birthday party, baby shower, baptism, wedding, baby photography, daily wear, family day.”

Following hours of criticism, Amazon finally yanked the tee from its website.

“All sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who do not will be subject to action including potential removal of their account,” an Amazon spokesperson confirmed to the Independent. “The product in question is no longer available.”

This isn’t the first time Amazon has been forced to remove an offensive product from its platform. The company has pulled Nazi propaganda items, door- and toilet mats that featured Quran verses, and baby onesie that were criticized for promoting pedophilia.
