Antonio Brown Trolls Bucs After Rams Win Thrilling Divisional Game

The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-27 Sunday, thanks to a game-winning field goal from Matt Gay as time expired. As you might expect, it didn’t take long for disgraced Bucs receiver Antonio Brown to chime in.
“I can’t” Brown wrote on his Instagram Story over an edited image of him holding a sign reading “Bucs eliminated.”
Brown’s feeling towards the Bucs are understandable. After disrobing while walking off the field at MetLife Stadium in the middle of his team’s come-from-behind win over the New York Jets earlier this month, Brown went on a smear campaign against Tampa Bay and head coach Bruce Arians.
AB accused the Bucs of forcing him to play through an ankle injury, the same ailment that kept him off the field for over two months, which included a three-game suspension for violating COVID-19 protocols by submitting a fake vaccination card.
Brown’s sudden absence, coupled with a season-ending injury to Chris Godwin, set up the once potent Bucs passing attack for an uphill divisional battle against a Rams team that dealt two first-round picks for Stafford and landed Odell Beckham Jr. to bolster an offense that already had the receiving triple crown winner in Cooper Kupp.
About halfway through the third quarter, the Rams seemed like they had their NFC Championship Game appearance all locked up when Stafford snuck it in from a yard out to take a 27-3 lead. Then, the Buccaneers’ defense came alive, and Tom Brady, the quarterback who ushered the Patriots’ comeback from down 28-3 in Super Bowl LI, found a way to utilize a rag-tag receiving corps, lead by Mike Evans and Rob Gronkowski.
With less than a minute remaining, Leonard Fournette cut to the outside to score the game-tying touchdown. It looked like the game was destined for overtime, but Stafford and Kupp capitalized on a questionable blitz call from Bucs defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, and found themselves in easy field goal range.
Stafford and Co. raced to the line to spike the ball with just four seconds layeft, giving Gay an opportunity to put away the team that drafted him in 2019.
With the Buccaneers out of the playoffs, many can’t help but wonder what the future holds for the 44-year-old Brady.
