Apple Expands Its Product Repair Services to U.S. Best Buy Locations

Repairing your broken Apple device just became a whole lot easier.
On Wednesday, the tech giant announced it had expanded its authorized service network to nearly 1,000 Best Buy stores across the U.S. The move gives customers better access to reliable, Apple-certified repairs on iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, and more. The expansion means “eight out of 10 customers will be within 20 minutes of an authorized service provider,” as there are now over 1,800 third-party Apple Authorized Service Providers nationwide; that’s triple the amount from three years ago.
“At Apple, we’re dedicated to providing the best customer service in the world,” vice president of AppleCare Tara Bunch said in a blog post. “If a customer ever needs to repair their products, we want them to feel confident those repairs are done safely and correctly. We’re always looking at how we can reliably expand our network of trained technicians and we’re excited to partner with every Best Buy store so it’s even easier for our customers to find an authorized repair location near them.”
You can learn more about Best Buy’s repair services at the company’s official website. Those who are interested in same-day iPhone screen repairs are asked to drop off the device before 6 p.m. local time. Best Buy says it will also “price match Apple service and repair costs of any Apple Authorized Service Provider”; however, it notes that prices will vary depending on the device model and issue.
“We love being there for our customers no matter what their Apple need is, from helping them choose the right device, to offering AppleCare protection and now helping fix their devices,” said Trish Walker, Best Buy’s president of Services. “We’ve always enjoyed a great partnership with Apple and we’re thrilled that, together, we can better serve our customers.”
