Just two months after giving fans a 27-track album, Kanye West might be getting ready to release the deluxe edition of his latest full-length offering, Donda.
Fans began speculating about the possibility of an extended version of Kanye’s tenth studio album this weekend, after some people on Twitter noticed a new message under Donda’s Apple Music page that appears to indicate the imminent release of a deluxe edition. “A deluxe version of Yeezus’ tenth recording miracle,” the message read.
Released in August, Donda scored ‘Ye his tenth straight No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200, earning 309,000 equivalent album units for the week ending Sept. 2. Donda’s commercial performance bested his two previous albums, Jesus Is King and Ye, which debuted with 264,000 and 208,000 album equivalent units respectively.
Donda also amassed over 60 million streams in the U.S. on Apple Music in the first 24 hours of its release, setting a then-2021 record for the streaming service and becoming the third-highest total ever in that span.
Earlier this month, Kanye legally changed his name to Ye, with no middle or last name. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michelle Williams approved the move just two months after the 44-year-old rapper revealed he’d filed a petition to officially swap out his birth name of Kanye Omari West.
