Florida authorities are reviewing body cam footage of Lil Pump‘s heated exchange with a police officer.
The incident occurred at Miami International Airport in December 2018, shortly after Pump was kicked off a flight headed to Los Angeles. The rapper and his team were instructed to exit the plane because TSA agents suspected his luggage contained weed. Pump told responding officers the bag was not his, and eventually got into a shouting match with one of the cops.
“That’s not my bag, bro! I’m telling you, it’s not my bag!” Pump yelled in the video.
“CALM DOWN! […] I don’t care!” the officer responds. “It’s your bag now!”
The Harverd Dropout artist was then taken into custody on a disorderly conduct charge. Pump entered a not guilty plea to the misdemeanor. It was later confirmed that the 18-year-old was not carrying any drugs.
Though Pump has not filed a formal complaint, the Miami-Dade Police Department told TMZ they are reviewing the body cam footage of the exchange. “[…] Command staff members are aware of the Body Worn Camera footage and are reviewing it to ensure compliance with our established policies and procedures.”
Shortly after the body cam footage surfaced online this week, Pump shared the clip on his Instagram page and sent a warning to the Miami-Dade PD: “DIRTY ASS 🐷SAID ‘ITS YOUR BAG NOW,'” he wrote in the caption. “THIS RACIST SHIT NEEDA STOP, LAWSUIT ON DA WAY.”
