Baby Yoda Merch From ‘The Mandalorian’ Is Reportedly On the Way

We all fell in love from the moment the character that has become affectionately known as Baby Yoda graced us with its presence at the end of the first episode of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian.
We were no longer interested in what was going on in the life of this mysterious bounty hunter, played by Pedro Pascal. We wanted as much Baby Yoda as possible, even if it meant just watching this cute creature take an extended snooze in its floating sphere by Baby Björn. But this once-a-week visitation agreement determined by Disney+ wasn’t going to be enough to satiate our need for more and more Baby Yoda. We want merch, and it’s coming soon.
CNBC reports that merch could arrive as soon as Friday, and be available through Amazon, Zazzle, Target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Hot Topic, and Box Lunch, in addition to Disney Store, and ShopDisney.
The Mandalorian showrunners Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni told Entertainment Tonight that withholding any mention of Baby Yoda merchandise, toys, etc. was an intentional move in an effort to preserve the element of surprise for viewers.
Favreau also hinted that The Mandalorian could have a few more surprises in future episodes, but none of these secrets could’ve been successfully kept under wraps if it weren’t for their collaborative work with Disney and Lucasfilm.
“We really wanted to be that you had to watch it yourself, so that every time you watched the show there are new twists and secrets that come out,” Favreau said. “But that requires a lot of restraint from the people that are footing the people saying they are going to hold back on certain things.”
