Bad Bunny’s ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ Spends Fifth Week Atop Billboard 200

Written by on July 17, 2022

Bad Bunny’s latest album Un Verano Sin Ti continued its run at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for a third straight week, per the outlet.

His fourth solo studio offering earned 105,000 equivalent album units with 104,000 consisting of SEA units, equaling 146.83 million on-demand streams of the project’s tracks. Un Verano Sin Ti has eclipsed 100,000 units in each of the 10 weeks since its release, matching Drake’s Views which accomplished the same feat in 2016.

It has also never dipped below the second spot throughout its run. The last album to see such sustained success was Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album when it stayed at No. 1 in its first 10 weeks last year.

Brent Faiyaz’s Wasteland debuted at No. 2 after raking in 88,000 equivalent album units, of which 81,000 were comprised of SEA units. His second studio effort fell short of early projections which had it earning at least 105,000 units and possibly threatening Bad Bunny’s Billboard 200 reign. While that wasn’t the case, it’s still a win for Brent, who admittedly stumbled into the body of work that would become Wasteland

“I just made a collection of songs and tied a story line together once I saw that they all kind of shared a similar theme,” Faiyaz told Vogue. “I didn’t really realize I was working on an album until I was maybe a little over halfway through. Then I realized, Wait a minute, this is a body of work.”

Wasteland becomes Faiyaz’s first top 10 appearance on the Billboard 200.

Aespa’s Girls: The 2nd Mini Album rounds out the top three with 56,000 equivalent album units and marks their first top 10 on the chart.
