New year, same music industry, dropping albums at midnight every Thursday, because fuck our bedtimes! Thankfully, 2019 is already off to an incredible start, and not just because of that egg that broke Kylie Jenner‘s Instagram record. In times like these (negative temperatures, political turmoil, etc.), a solid album can serve as the perfect distraction—or simply a comfort to get you through. January gifted us with new pop, R&B, synthpop, and of course rap, most notably from everyone’s toxic king, Future. Here are the best new albums this month.
