Betty White, Iconic ‘Golden Girls’ Actress, Dies at 99

Beloved actress and comedian Betty White has died at age 99, TMZ writes, citing law enforcement sources.
White, whose massive list of TV and occasional movie credits extends back to the late ‘40s, reportedly passed away at her home on Friday morning.
A 22-time Emmy Award nominee and 5-time winner, White was perhaps best known for The Golden Girls and an extensive list of guest appearances on shows from Community to That ‘70s Show. Her most recent major Emmy came in 2010 for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series when she hosted SNL, becoming the show’s oldest-ever host at age 88. According to IMDB, she’s got over 120 acting credits and over 350 TV and movie appearances as herself.
She would have turned 100 on Jan. 17.
