Beyoncé Shares Music Video for ‘Lion King’ Song “Spirit”

The music video for Beyoncé‘s The Lion King track “Spirit” has arrived.
Watch it up top.
The track will be featured in the film as well as the movie’s companion album, The Lion King: The Gift. The project was curated by Beyoncé and will feature contributions from Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, JAY-Z, WizKid, Childish Gambino, Blue Ivy, Tierra Whack, 070 Shake, Mr. Eazi, and others.

“This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa,” Beyoncé said while on Good Morning America. “I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa and not just use some of the sounds and do my interpretation of it. I wanted it to be authentic to what is beautiful about the music in Africa.”

The film, which was directed by Jon Favreau, stars Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, Donald Glover as Simba, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Billy Eichner as Timon, John Oliver as Zazu, and James Earl Jones as Mufasa. Keegan-Michael Key and Eric Andre also star.
The Lion King will be out in theaters July 18.
