America was an amazing character in Young Avengers and Ultimates. Her solo title is social justice propaganda. The social political agenda comes off so thick that it gets in the way of the story. Take the first issue – there is no context to what is happening or any character development outside a brief conversation with her partner. You are told to like the character because she is socially diverse but there is no substance behind anything. Simply put, this title is poison and should not be promoted.
