Billie Eilish Scared the Heck out of Melissa McCarthy on ‘Ellen’

Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Elisabeth Moss sat down for an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote their new film The Kitchen, and during their interview McCarthy took a moment to once again highlight that she’s a huge fan of Billie Eilish. McCarthy previously put herself in Eilish’s “Bad Guys” video, which has already become a meme of sorts. Aware of how much McCarthy loves her, Eilish decided to stop by Ellen and gave the cast of The Kitchen the scare of their lives.
As soon as Eilish jumps out from a box on set, McCarthy jokes about how she could have fainted because she was so surprised by Eilish’s appearance. “I’m still weirdly shaking, you’re not supposed to experience that,” McCarthy added.
Meanwhile, a new trailer for The Kitchen, which hits theaters August 9, has premiered online. The dramatic clip offers a peek at the three leads, who play wives of Irish mobsters in ’70s New York City. It’s quite the departure for Haddish and McCarthy in particular, who are known mostly for their comedic roles.

Needless to say, fans are having a lot of fun with the McCarthy and Eilish mash-up.
