Blade Brown & K-Trap’s ‘Joints’ Project Has Finally Arrived
Written by SOURCE on March 25, 2022
It’s finally here.
Blade Brown and K-Trap’s Joints mixtape—one of this year’s most eagerly awaited UK rap projects—has officially landed. Ever since the tape was confirmed to be happening in July last year, we’ve all been on tenterhooks. After putting us out of our misery with “6 Figures” earlier this month, they dropped off visuals for “Joints 2” last night and then, at midnight, the full thing arrived.
Somewhat surprisingly, there aren’t any guest features on Joints, but that just means they’ve got more space to spar on production from Skepta, Nyge, Ghosty, Splurgeboys, M1OnTheBeat, GX, Aaron Or Age, Cage Got That Cold, Nathaniel London, 5ive, R14, and more.

Coming from two different generations of rap, the pair have been close friends and collaborators for a few years now, teaming up on the “Going Back To Cali” freestyle in 2019, before reuniting on the first “Joints” on Blade’s Bags & Boxes 4 the same year and then again for “Probably” on K-Trap’s Street Side Effects in 2020. It’s a partnership that’s clearly working well for them and this kind of cross-generational collaboration—bridging the gap between the foundational rawness of Blade’s era with the trap and drill-inspired grit of K-Trap’s generation—is clearly worthy of more exploration.
