Bow Wow Seen in Heated Argument With Girlfriend Shortly Before Battery Arrest

Written by on February 9, 2019

Bow Wow and his girlfriend Kiyomi Leslie Holden were arrested in Atlanta on battery charges on Feb. 2. The former rapper has since claimed he never hit her and acted only in self-defense. On the contrary, Holden said Bow Wow hit her numerous times and forcefully took her phone away. TMZ has now obtained surveillance footage from their apartment building, showing the heated argument the two got into before the alleged incident took place.

Taken from the apartment complex’s elevator, the footage shows Bow Wow aggressively arguing with Holden. Bow Wow seems visibly agitated as he’s pacing back and forth within the elevator. Throughout the footage, Bow Wow gets in Holden’s face and seems to forcibly snatch something from her hand.

The footage in question does not show any of alleged violence which lead to their injuries, but it does show the tension leading up to it. The rapper sustained injuries in the altercation, including some deep scratches across his face and some bite marks on his torso. He also said she called him a “bitch ass n***a” and threw a lamp at him.

Holden told the police that Bow Wow was angry at her for talking to another man at the party they attended, and he didn’t deny her claims. The pair of them were charged with battery as both claimed to be victims of assault when police arrived at the scene.

“Ms. Holden beat him with a lamp, bit him on his side and spit on him while Bow Wow continually made efforts to avoid her,” Bow Wow’s attorney Joe S. Habachy explained. “Bow Wow suffered multiple injuries, some of which are visible in his mugshot. Ms. Holden’s mugshot on the other hand speaks for itself, despite her allegation to police that she broke a fingernail.”
