Any hopes of a joint tour between Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga have quickly been dashed. The actor went on record saying that it is highly unlikely that he and Lady Gaga will embark on a world tour anytime soon, as he is still feels uncomfortable performing their hit-duet “Shallow.”

During an interview with E! News, the star and director of the Oscar-nominated film A Star Is Born admitted that he was a bit nervous when he took the stage with Lady Gaga in Las Vegas for their first ever live perormance of the song.

“That was terrifying,” Cooper said. “I just had to zen out and just pray that I wasn’t going to ruin her show. Just think about it? She just crushed it for 2 hours and I’m just thinking ‘Please let me be on pitch.'”

Cooper is expected to perform the hit song with Gaga at this month’s Oscars, and admitted that the performance is equally daunting. “I’m sure I’ll be terrified,” he said. The song has become something of a phenomenon, after it topped the Billboard charts and earned a nomination for Best Original Song.

With all the various controversies surrounding this year’s Oscars, Cooper and Gaga’s performance should be one of the telecast’s few bright spots. And hey, if it happens to involve Cooper peeing his pants live on stage, much like his character Jackson Maine did in the film, then we’re all for it.

The 2019 Oscars will air live Sunday, Feb. 24, on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
