Britney Spears threatened to sue her former business management firm Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group in a since-deleted Instagram post, Billboard reports. In the post, Spears singled out Lou Taylor, president and CEO of Tri Star, and Robin Greenhill.
“A week before they sent me away to that fucking place, TRI STAR invited me to their offices … swanky suited up bitches … SO NICE with their ‘We are here to make you feel SPECIAL,” Spears wrote, per TMZ. “I had lunch with Lou Taylor and Robin Greenhill … they said ‘Britney, look at your picture on the wall!’ With a huge black and white framed picture in the hall of their office !!!!! Kate Beckinsale was there too !!!!! They sucked up to me and ‘made me feel special’ … RIGHT …. Ha those same bitches killed me a week later !!!!”
Britney said her dad “worshipped” Taylor and Greenhill, and would’ve “done anything they asked of him !!!!”
Spears continued, “I think they were trying to kill me … I still to this very day believe that’s EXACTLY what they were trying to do … but not a damn thing was wrong with me and I didn’t die !!!! Nobody else would have lived through what they did to me !!! I lived through all of if and I remember all of it !!!! I will sue the s— out of Tri Star !!!! Psss they got away with all of it and I’m here to warn them every day of my precious life !!!!”
Charles Harder, attorney for Tri Star, responded to TMZ with the following statement: “These claims are entirely false, as well as highly offensive, damaging and unacceptable.”
Spears also posted a message about her sister on Wednesday but later deleted it.
Tri Star connected with Jamie Spears, and more specifically, the family’s inner circle after reportedly loaning him “at least” $40,000 at a time when he was struggling with alcoholism and had recently filed for bankruptcy. Britney was later placed in a conservatorship and Tri Star slowly kept expanding its role by gaining control over the management of her finances and more.
Despite the alleged ties to Jamie, Britney claimed in another deleted Instagram post from last year that her mother Lynne and Taylor were the ones who orchestrated the conservatorship. “My dad may have started the conservatorship 13 years ago… but what people don’t know is is [sic] that my mom is the one who gave him the idea!!!,” she wrote, adding that Lynne and Taylor “secretly ruined” her life.
The documentary The New York Times Presents: Controlling Britney Spears details an instance where Greenhill overstepped her boundaries by allegedly mirroring her iPhone communications on an iPad that was stored in a safe without her knowledge. The company was also accused of bugging her room and controlling her medication intake. According to a source for Page Six, “Britney is aware and angered by the control exercised over her by Lou Taylor and her company, which reaped millions of dollars from her estate.”
