Brockhampton Connects With Dua Lipa, Ryan Beatty, and Jon B for “Sugar” Remix

Written by on March 6, 2020

Brockhampton is giving new life to their hit single “Sugar.” And they’ve enlisted the help of one of pop’s biggest stars.

On Thursday, the San Marcos collective dropped the official remix for “Sugar,” featuring vocals by Dua Lipa and R&B singer Jon B. There’s also a new outro and intro, as well as additional contributions from Ryan Beatty, Joba, Matt Champion, and bearface.

“I move mountains on my own, don’t need nobody’s help,” Dua sings in the second verse. “I’ve been lookin’ after me like only I can watch my back/Lovin’ me and it keeps hurtin’ me/I hate it when I lose control, over my heart /ou know you really turned me on, right from the start.”

In conjunction with the release, Brockhampton has delivered the remix’s visual, which features Champion sitting on an outdoor basketball hoop and … well, that’s pretty much it.

You can check out the “Sugar” remix visual above and stream the track now on all major platforms.

The original track appeared on Brockhampton’s 2019 album Ginger. “Sugar” is the group’s best-performing track yet, having debuted on at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Brockhampton will head to South America is several weeks to perform at a string of Lollapalooza festivals. They’re return to the states in April to perform at Coachella 2020.
