Browns Annouces Second Iteration of Global Platform ’Browns Focus: Series 2
Written by SOURCE on June 16, 2022
Browns has recently announced the second iteration of Browns Focus, a platform which aims to support new and emerging talent and demonstrates the retailer’s ongoing mission to support and encourage innovative designers and creatives.
Created in partnership with Roman McKenzie, the initiative has been brought to life through a multifunctional creative space which has been designed to inspire, share and support the next wave of up-and-coming talent and commemorates the values and ambitions of Browns’ internal network, the breadth of communities within the company, and the wider industry.
The line-up for Browns Focus: Series Two includes seven talents including Ahluwalia, Bethany Williams, FEBEN, Namacheko, Nicholas Daley, SELASI and Wales Bonner. Each creative has produced exclusive capsules for Browns, which will be spotlighted through creative and community-centric activations, launched with the next generation of talent in mind.
Speaking on the project, Womenswear and Menswear Buying Director, Ida Petersson commented, “I strongly believe that it’s more important than ever before to highlight emerging brands, as they represent what fashion will be not only today, but tomorrow and beyond.
“Without their curiosity and talent we can’t progress as an industry, and it’s our responsibility as a retailer to support and nurture these designers. This year’s lineup was chosen by our New Gen buyers, Joseph Brunner and Stephanie Bannock, who have worked closely with each partner to build out capsules that represent each brands individual aesthetic and DNA.
“We are honoured to have the opportunity to work with these incredibly gifted designers and hope our customers will enjoy the finished product as much as we enjoyed the whole process.”
The second iteration of Browns Focus will be available from June 16 via brownsfashion.com and instore at Browns East.
