Carhartt WIP Collaborates with Salomon for ‘CSWP Shelter’

Fresh off the back of its recent Stay Rats collaboration Carhartt WIP has continued to build on its roster of partnerships by linking up with Salomon. The new release focuses on a Salomon hiking silhouette, nicknamed the CSWP Shelter, which was first reworked by Better™ Gift Shop two years ago.
This co-release combines Carhartt WIP’s distinct workwear aesthetic with Salomon’s technical know-how and performance-based qualities. The shoe is fully waterproof and features light insulation and enhanced grip, while a colour palette of tonal navy, thyme, gray, and sand dress the upper, midsole, and outsole of the silhouette.
Further details include pared-back branding — allowing for a focus on the shoe’s technical design — and printed footbeds that house a reworking of a traditional Indonesian vine camouflage. Rounding out the design is a ripstop upper – a staple fabric that can be found in every Carhartt WIP collection.
Salomon for Carhartt WIP is set to release at select stores, the Carhartt WIP webstore and Salomon webstore on February 10. A wider release in Asia and Australia will then follow on February 17.
