For example, the deficit rises to $1,121.14 in Toronto.

“On average young people are losing $750 per month by living in cities across the country,” says the report. “To break even young people would need to isolate themselves—no entertainment, no transportation, and no dining out.”

“Young people are either considered change makers who are the only hope for solving the climate crisis, or they are the TikTok obsessed generation who overspends on oat milk lattes and avocado toast,” the report continues. “With 27 cities, 54 measures, and 2414 data points examined in the Real Affordability Index, we can conclude that this generation is currently still working to afford the toast, let alone the avocado.”

The average monthly deficit in Lethbridge, Alberta is only $32.92, making it the most affordable city in Canada. However, it has one of the highest gender pay gaps in the whole country, so its affordability depends on which half of the population you ask.

According to the findings, the main barriers that make cities unaffordable are low wages, full-time employment options, lack of skill development and a lack of gender pay equity. All of these things could lead to some people moving out of Canada entirely, making the problem worse.

“’Why is it so expensive to just exist?’ is a question at the top of the minds of young people living in Canadian cities,” says the index. “With this question bringing more and more financial anxiety to everyday life, it is possible that young Canadians may move out of city centers or Canada altogether causing a potential drain on talent, decreasing the vibrancy of the city, limiting young people’s options and therefore decreasing sense of belonging.”

According to the index, some possible solutions include achieving full-time employment for 66 percent of 15-24 year olds, and raising minimum wage $5 nation-wide.

Source link

قالب وردپرس

The 25 Best Sneaker Resale Stores and Sites in Canada

SOURCE

article

calgary

canada

complex-ca

dfp-sneakers

dfp-sneakers-adidas

dfp-sneakers-nike

dfp-sneakers-other

Featured

features

lists

Music

News

nova-scotia

resellers

sneakers

tier-three

toronto

vancouver

It’s an exciting time for Canadian streetwear. In addition to a slew of designers putting the country’s creativity on the world stage, we’ve opened up after two years of restrictions and physical retail is kicking back into gear. And just in time, because the sneaker resale market happens to be booming around the country right now. According to data collected by StockX, Canada is the largest market for sneaker resale outside of the U.S.

But where should you resell sneakers on the secondary market in the Great White North? The number of options out there can be intimidating. It’s easy to get a terrible deal, get burnt with fakes, or pay an exorbitant amount for a pair that’s actually way more obtainable than you thought. So we’ve done the research for you.

Whether you’re a buyer or a seller, looking to cop something new or vintage, or you just want to avoid the costly import fees from purchasing across the border, we’ve got you covered. Here’s our list of the 25 best sneaker resale stores and sites in Canada.

Source link

قالب وردپرس

Calgary and Surrey Named the Sexiest Cities in Canada

SOURCE

article

calgary

canada

complex-ca

dfp-auto

dfp-auto-trucks

dfp-beverages

dfp-beverages-beer

dfp-food

dfp-food-other

dfp-music

dfp-music-country

Featured

Music

News

ottawa

tier-one

toronto

winnipeg

Save a horse, ride a cowboy! There must be something in the water in Calgary, which has just been crowned Canada’s sexiest city for the second year in a row.

The annual ranking of Canada’s sexiest cities is conducted by online sex shop PinkCherry. They take a peak at consumer habits, then use that data to determine which cities have the most sex toy sales per person. If you want to be a nosy neighbour, you can even check which toys and fantasies are most popular in your city.

Surrey, B.C. is also doing a great job keeping frisky, as they hold onto their silver medal for another year. Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Edmonton follow suit, occupying the third, fourth and fifth spots respectively.

After coming in at an underwhelming eleventh place last year, Toronto finally cracked the top 10 this year—but still ranked lower than the Ontario cities of London, Brampton, and Hamilton.

Smaller cities weren’t lost on the love either, and PinkCherry made a separate list of Sexiest Towns with a population under 300,000. Colwood, B.C. topped the list once again, proving that Canada’s sexiest cities are keeping a firm grip on their rankings.

Even if your city didn’t rank very high, you can sleep well knowing Canada as a whole bought a whopping 10,348,268 inches in sex toys in 2021. With that making up about 475 CN Tower’s worth of length, maybe Toronto can feel better about only being ninth.

See if your city or town made the top ten below:

1. Damicuts) is already proving to be a master barber. Dami goes above and beyond your average barber. Not only are his clients walking out looking like a new person, he’s also delving deep into conversation. He’s all about self-improvement and quality work. When he’s not changing a life with a fresh cut, he’s working on himself and spending time interacting with his followers.

He’s the real deal. And though he doesn’t operate out of a barbershop, he’s still carrying on the legacy of the barbershop chair being a spot where Black men can be vulnerable and have real conversations. So you get why, aside from regular people, his client list also includes high-profile rappers like DDG, Roy Woods, and Dax.

Below are mildly edited questions and answers including Dami’s insight on his self-help books, his growing business, and his life since his “surgical” fades blew up on TikTok.

How’d you get into cutting?

How I started was just out of curiosity. Being younger, I was curious about a lot of things. Soccer was actually my first love and everyone was playing basketball, so I was like, “OK, I’m going to learn a new sport completely just because it was good,” you know? So I just watched a lot of YouTube videos. Got myself a ball and just kept on dribbling, dribbling, and it was similar with the clippers. My dad used to shave my head bald because he didn’t want to pay for a barber… he was our personal barber for me and my brother. So I was thinking, how am I going to get a better haircut than what I’m getting for school, because this was back in grade 6 and 7, and I was rocking a fresh bald cut. And it was like, it’s bad. So eventually I said, “Enough is enough” … I started going on Google, looking at cool cuts, and I started getting fascinated with it. And my brother was actually my first client. I cut his hair and it wasn’t too too bad—I thought it was OK at the time, but when I look back at, it was terrible. But it motivated me to just keep going … I messed a lot of people up at first, which is how you start, but eventually I picked it up and I understood how to do it. Then practice, repetition. I ended up becoming better and better.

How’d the social media side of it start?

I started posting on social media four years ago and I have this screenshot of my account with a different name and like 25 or 100 followers when I started. I was asking everyone to give me a shout out and support, and when I look back at it, it’s crazy, because the jump from what I used to be… People used to not want to get a haircut from me and now I don’t even have as much time to cut people’s heads and they want a haircut. You know, I’m grateful for that. That’s crazy and I wasn’t expecting that to happen.

Doc Dami with his client Roy Woods/Image via Publicist

Where do you do your cuts? Are you in a shop?

I like to work in an environment that I can control, because I don’t like getting distracted too much. And at a barber shop where everybody is trying to talk, I can get a bit distracted. I’m more of a quality over quantity type of person. I see it as art, so I like spending like an hour on a cut or even a little bit more if I can. I want it to be perfect. Working at a barber shop doesn’t allow me to do that because they just want the next person and the next person… You can get addicted to that money chasing and it becomes about speed. I was almost heading that way when I was in the shop, and I didn’t like that. Money was growing, but eventually I understood that if I focused on quality over quantity, there’s more money in that. A lot of people don’t see that.

“I get a lot of DMs from people showing me their hair and asking if I can save it. I go through the DMs and I flag the ones that actually need it.”

So what’s a Dami cut cost these days?

Sometimes I don’t even charge people. Cutting hair isn’t my main source of income anymore. I have my own brand of products. It depends if they have a good heart… It’s more than just a haircut, so sometimes I don’t want to collect. I don’t advertise “free haircuts,” but yeah. [Laughs.]

For those who do pay, do you have to educate your customer? Like, there are lots of guys who just figure a cut should cost $20, right?

I read a lot of books now and one of the ones I really loved is The 48 Laws of Power. One of the chapters talks about the law of scarcity, meaning the more scarce something is the more valuable it is. That’s why gold is more valuable than water even though water is more important than gold. When you’re harder to find and harder to book, people are willing to pay more. I made myself more scarce to where not everyone has access to a cut, so now more people are willing to pay more for a cut. It’s crazy, I’ve got a guy DMing me and offering to pay $2,000 for a cut, and that’d never happened before when I was focused on quantity. But when I made myself scarce, it kind of started to save.

Those kind of books, when I started applying them to business, it’s crazy. Books have had a big impact on my business.

Give me some other business/self-help book recommendations. What else have you read that’s really impacted you?

I’m going to say Atomic Habits. That’s a really big one. It talks about how to change your environment to make your habits stick. Because habits and motivation have a lot to do with your environment. If you’re surrounded by people who don’t want to make it or who are comfortable, you start to copy that habit of being comfortable.

If, for example, I have books all over my house and no TV, to go to an extreme, eventually all I’ll be doing is reading because my environment just has that.

Another example of how I changed my habits was by pairing something that I hated with something that I loved. So, I loved watching anime, but I hated running on the treadmill. And I was like, how am I going to lose this weight? I put my iPad on my treadmill and I would watch anime and I would just be walking and I didn’t even notice the pain because I was so interested in the anime. So making a ‘habit bundle’ is one of the best ways to build a habit.

Tell me about your products. Where do we get those?

The way I market my products is very indirect. There’s a link in my Instagram bio. I say it’s recommended, but I don’t say, “Hey guys, buy my product.”

You’ve got a hair growth oil and a hair curling product, right?

Yeah, right now I’m adding more, including a hair gel. That’ll be a big one. But I’m focusing on quality.

I noticed there’s a trend with curly hair. Everybody wants curly hair now… and I get asked a lot how people can curl their hair. So I asked my suppliers to make the best product for curling hair.

“I don’t want to cut hair because I have to, but because I want to. But I feel like there’s something bigger to life than that… because once I have it all—the money, the status, the girl—what’s next?”

How do you decide whose hair to cut? Are you picking random followers or walking up to random shaggy dudes on the street and being like, ‘Bro, let me cut your hair’?

I get a lot of DMs from people showing me their hair and asking if I can save it. I go through the DMs and I flag the ones that actually need it. I do cut people who don’t really need a transformation, but the ones I pick for content are the ones that actually need saving. So I just go through the DMs and go, “I got you and I got you.”

How many cuts do you do a day or week?

Less than two, usually. I’m focusing on quality, so at most three a day. And that’s on a rare day.

What’s more difficult, the cutting of the hair or the managing of the influencer business that you have found yourself within now as well?

Cutting hair is super easy now. I’ve done it so much that I don’t even really think about it. I’m thinking about something else in my head, so my brain just does it on autopilot.

The business aspect and influencer thing… I’m just trying to understand the algorithm. It’s tricky. There’s a log of engagement in it, but sometimes I feel like the way the algo works is weird. I just try to figure out the pattern, when to post and all that. It’s tricky.

<img decoding="async" class="article__rte-img" src="//www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewBox="0 0 135 76"%3E%3C/svg%3E" alt="Doc Dami barber" loading="lazy" height="480" width="640" />

Doc Dami with his client DDG/Image via Publicist

How are you defining success in your future?

That’s always changing as I grow. The things I wanted last year aren’t the same as this year. Basically, I’ve started digging deeper within myself to see why I do what I do and what I really want out of life. I do want financial freedom—that’s one of my biggest things—but I still want to cut hair. I don’t want to cut hair because I have to, but because I want to. But I feel like there’s something bigger to life than that… because once I have it all—the money, the status, the girl—what’s next? That’s what I’m trying to discover right now.

The biggest thing right now is building my relationship with God. A lot of things that happened to me today I don’t think is me alone… it’s God. So much stuff I can’t explain how they happened. I definitely want to build that faith.

Do you usually have conversations like this with the people who sit in your chair?

Oh yeah! They love it. It’s one of the reasons I love cutting hair is to talk about stuff like this.

I’ve seen a couple videos of you playing one-on-one basketball where the loser has to shave his head. How many times have you done that?

I’ve done it twice.

And you won them both?

Yeah, I used to play basketball back in high school, so I have a little experience.

Look man, I’m washed up, but I used to ball and I’m still six-foot-six. I can still get wrists over the rim. I’ll take the challenge if I can get out to Calgary.

Look, I’ll give you work, man! I’m decent at basketball. I’m five-foot-nine, but I can dunk.

Source link

قالب وردپرس

Curtis Waters on Popstar Role-Play & New EP Plastic World

SOURCE

article

calgary

canada

complex-ca

curtis-waters

dfp-music

dfp-music-pop

Featured

features

interviews

Music

nepal

News

pop

popstar

tier-three

tiktok

It’s a full-force bright-skies Saturday when I sit to chat with Curtis Waters about his latest project, Plastic World. He is our generation’s answer to the one effortlessly cool scene kid of the early aughts: the self-effacing wuderkind has a penchant for a very self-aware brand of irony, and grew up in Nepalese culture, which is a world (and few shades of melanin) away from the predominantly white pop-punk that captured his musical imagination growing up. His warm and sunny laughter brings the sunshine inside in a way that allows me to forget I am embarking on what feels like my millionth Zoom call of pandemic purgatory. Curtis is the consummate gentleman and immediately sympathetic.

“Since I’ve become popular, the Internet isn’t fun for me, the 21-year-old tells Complex. “I feel like I need to be in real life. I have my notifications turned off and I have to be with my girlfriend and spend time with my family.“

The Nepal-born, Calgary-bred artist’s phone has undoubtedly been blowing up since uploading his song “Stunnin’” on TikTok last year. Tens of millions of views and streams later, he’s got three recent Juno nods, a placement in a Mercedes Benz commercial, an article in Rolling Stone, and a deal with BMG to his name. But he’s also got a lot less privacy.

This tension between our immersion in a consumer-driven online reality and the vulnerability and isolation that can come with navigating life offline is foundational to Plastic World, the follow-up to his debut album Pity Party. Although just two songs, you can hear the influence of Yeezus-era Kanye and early Tyler the Creator on it, an ornate and pleasurable chaos intertwining the bravado and brashness of punk, pop, and hip-hop. “I wanted this to be something that you could tell was inspired by that lineage of music,” he shares. “It’s so easy to get lost in your own self-deprecation… songs on this project validate that mania that I had growing up and makes me feel less alone. I hope people can be comforted by that. I want the weird stuff I make to turn into a hit because it resonates with people.”

Nothing about the frenetic trashiness is unintentional—on the contrary, Waters meticulously self-produced and layered the instrumentation throughout the project’s soundscape into a hyperactive study of isolation in overdrive. The final product is startlingly soft; a hard-pried shell hiding a gleaming sea stone. Waters bares it all, exploring self-aggrandizement, suicidality, and the tender absurdity of feeling anger towards your own loneliness.

We caught up with Curtis to chat about weird Harmony Korine movies, DIY culture, and how he’s pushing the pop-punk sound.

What inspired Plastic World? And how do you think it’s pushing on your dope album Pity Party?
Pity Party was what I made before I had any accolades or recognition. It was very self-deprecating. Plastic World is more like ego death—I’m battling between being an insecure person and being like, “Oh my god, I’m a god, I’m manic right now.” It was a great way to explore this crazy insecurity and paranoia. It’s compensation, and definitely overplayed—there’s lots of crazy visuals in the album that play into that. It’s really about ego death and the cycle of being manic and depressive.

What drew you to explore that in music?

Music is my coping mechanism: if I’m having a good day, I make music; if I’m having a bad day, I make music. I just don’t know how to express myself very well outside of that. If I’m having an excess amount of validation, you can come to depend on external validation. My take on vulnerability is that there are two sides: there’s one where you see yourself as worthless, and the other where you’re compensating and being really egotistical.

So do you think that’s coming through in the “pop vs. anti-pop” hype around your music?

I never thought I made pop music! I fell into this character and I guess… I’ve been doing pop star role-play for a year now? I just wake up and think, “I’m Curtis Waters and I’m going to go on the Internet and create parasocial relationships for the profit.” I’m weirdly self-aware about it because it’s so bizarrely strange and not human. It’s funny because I’m like, “celebrity culture is bad” but at the same time being like “buy my merch and shit.” I don’t know if it’s good that I’m self-aware of it. I wish I could turn it off sometimes. Plastic World is really about how I was feeling about the world at the time: just curated and fake. But it also has both anti-pop and pop in there.

“Even though I’m a brown immigrant kid, I have no idea why I relate to this skinny white kid complaining about his step-dad and small town in California.”

Celebrity culture is crazy! How do you balance that self-awareness with your own rising popularity?

It’s a blessing. I’m a sensitive person, and have always been vulnerable, but now I have thousands of people aware of that. I can be having a bad day and post that I’m feeling suicidal, and people will react by saying, “Oh, that’s so cringe.” But I’m just trying to normalize it. I don’t know if it’s pretentious but I do feel this responsibility to not glorify my life. I might do it in my music, but in the end, it’s a character. One thing I like about this project is that as biographical as it is, there is an exaggerated character as well that the project is based around.

Since I’ve become popular, the Internet isn’t fun for me and I feel like I need to be in real life. I have my notifications turned off and I have to be with my girlfriend, spend time with my family. I have real friends who don’t care whether I have a hit or not. I have people in real life who do not give a fuck about my music and I think that really balances me out.

<picture></picture>

Image via Niall Proctor

What role does your character play in your music?

Artists can put on a character and make 100 songs in this character. But for me, if I’m manic, the character will be manic, and if I’m depressed, the character is going to be depressed. It’s very personal to me. I know my fanbase might be divided on this release because it’s so weird and aggressive and punk and digital and there are people who came to me for a sweet pop sound. I think that’s cool but I also need to express myself so I don’t die.

Where are you inspired to take your sound now?

Lately, I’ve been into industrial rap. I’ve been into Godly the Ruler. Ever since I was a kid I’ve been into pop-punk and emo stuff. Growing up, I was looking at 20 white dudes playing drums in their basements playing guitar and complaining about their step-dads and was like, “Wow, that’s what I feel like, for some odd reason.” Like, even though I’m a brown immigrant kid, I have no idea why I relate to this skinny white kid complaining about his step-dad and small town in California.

I also really like Jean Dawson. When that album came out I was depressed because this is such a masterpiece and I’m not there. But it also makes me want to work harder at what I do. Once you know how to make a little bit of music, you know how to make a hit, in my opinion. It’s just mentally taxing: I could make more songs that would blow up, but I would be sad because I wasn’t able to express myself. That’s why I love this project so much: I didn’t think about mass appeal or streaming or algorithms. I sat down, played guitar, played bass and made the coolest shit. I start a verse off by saying, “It’s the brown skin chronicles!” If I was a young brown kid with no one to look up to and there was an artist opening up a verse like that… it feels like I’m making music for kids like me, you know?

It’s amazing that you’re repping all the kids of colour out there that are into alternative music!

We’re into all kinds of stuff, and I don’t want us to be held back because of the colour of our skin. Like right now, I’m literally making British house rap with my friends, I’m songwriting for female singers. and we’re making Disney XDS music. I hate being stereotyped and put in a box. I don’t like to think about it in technical meters of success, but I’m proud because I played the guitar and bass, said so much cool shit, and produced the whole thing by myself.

What’s it been like to work with your friends and family?

We shot a music video out in Vancouver recently. Our best friends that we get drunk with had this house and it had a red carpet and red couch and it was so dingy. We found random friends from Instagram and made it happen all day. My friends were putting fake blood on me. It’s very DIY. It feels like a village and like we’re building something together. I work with my little brother back home, he’s still in high school. I bought him a camera and he takes pictures all the time. It’s all very homemade.

And you’re making all these projects under your own label?

Yeah! It’s Curtis Waters Inc licensed to BMG. No one’s signed to the label, but down the road, I wanna sign people to the label because I love producing. I wanna be like Pharrell. There’s so many things I can’t do: I’d love to make sexy R&B music. I can do rap, pop and punk, but I want to expand my scope to do everything. I’d love to work with artists that have a very whimsical fairy vibe but contrast it with hard industrial style. I’m a big fan of soft voices.

Tell us the story of the bunny suit?

I watched Gummo as a teenager. I’ve always been inspired by it. It was also inspired by Clockwork Orange: it’s weird to have a sinister person drinking milk around, so I thought that I could explore that with a cute bunny outfit with aggressive music. There’s also a shout-out to Kubrick stairs—so much of the album was inspired by weird movies. A fan of mine actually sent me a bunny hat in my PO Box and I loved it so much I decided it needed to be a character. I made a photoshop version of myself with red makeup and a star on my forehead and asker her if she could make me a custom character for this album.

What are you gonna get up to in a post-lockdown world?

I blew up before I’ve ever done a show. I wanna make a bunch of punk songs and tour. I wanna go back to Nepal; I miss my family there. Last time I was back was 2014. I wanna get a cabin somewhere random and play guitar and disappear for a bit.

Source link

قالب وردپرس

Tate McRae Is Turning Teenage Heartbreak Into Raw Connection

SOURCE

apple

apple-music

article

calgary

complex-ca

complex-video

dfp-music

dfp-music-pop

Featured

features

interviews

Music

News

pop

tate-mcrae

tier-three

tiktok

videos

Things don’t seem to be slowing down for pop sensation Tate McRae. Amassing 5 million-plus followers and counting, she’s connected with fans on the platform through her mature songs about love, heartbreak, and relationships and transforms her honesty and vulnerability into art that fans can relate to in their daily lives. But I mean, definitely over the pandemic, I’ve done some things that I’ve always wanted to do and some of my biggest goals have happened, which has been pretty cool. But yeah, I think it’s been mostly hard to think about because I can’t go anywhere and I literally can’t experience things for real and to the fullest extent. So I had to choose six of my favorite songs that I’ve been writing over the past seven months and the strongest ones that are all cohesive. And that’s kind of hard to do when you’re by yourself and everything’s virtual because you can’t see people in real life and let people listen to things in real life. Like, my old team can’t be with me to vibe on things, so it’s definitely been hard to choose, and that’s why it’s been pushed back so much. But it’s like finally going out and I’m excited.

The last track, “The ’90s.” Tell me about that song.
I have this thing in my brain that I just wish I lived in a different time era. And I think that’s honestly just because of social media and everything, like phones and the whole shebang. I feel like relationships are more superficial. I feel like things online just don’t feel like real life to me sometimes. But, I have this idea in my head that living in like the ’80s or ’90s would be the best, even if it wouldn’t be. I just have this idea in my brain, I’m not getting rid of it. And I was just imagining like, how would a boy walk to a girl? Like, now guys will text you and be like, “I’m here”. And if you lived in a different era where you didn’t have phones, they’d have to, like, walk up to your door and give you flowers. They’d have to open the door and face your parents. There’s that whole other idea that I feel like our generation has completely missed out on, so I started to write a song about it and that’s how I felt.

You’re also Apple Music’s Up Next Artist, which is super cool. It’s such a big honour. You know, people like Jessie Reyez, who came out of Canada, have been featured. Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish. All of these people have been featured. And you’re the artist being featured in March. Talk to me about that and what that means to you.
It’s crazy. I mean, I’ve been watching these documentaries forever. I’ve seen these, I’ve done my research. I knew them all from before. So, when I got this, like, when they said I was going to be the Up Next Artist, I was kind of like, “Oh, shit, no way.” And I think it’s cool because Apple’s such an amazing brand that I’d always dreamed of working with. And to be able to create a video with them and be able to work with them, talk with them, have meetings, and be able to just understand their process on things has been really cool. It’s also has forced me to push my creativity a bit to work with them and collaborate.

Source link

قالب وردپرس

20 Best New Canadian Restaurants of 2020: Top Food Spots

SOURCE

alberta

article

aunty-lucys

british-columbia

calgary

canada

complex-ca

dfp-food

dfp-food-burgers

dfp-food-restaurants

Featured

features

food

halifax

lists

matty-matheson

Music

News

nova-scotia

restaurants

tier-three

toronto

vancouver

Making it as a restaurant in some of Canada’s biggest foodie cities on a good year requires hustle, timing, that secret sauce, and a ton of luck. Add a global pandemic to the mix, and circumstances instead served newly minted restaurants with much of the opposite: public lockdowns (meaning no on-site patrons and a switch to delivery and take-out-only service), social distancing measures, and the need to pivot on short notice—multiple times. While some neighbourhood staples were forced to shut their doors permanently, many of these new restaurants have found a way to remain open, managing to put out some of the best food coast-to-coast. And they could use our support right now more than ever. Here’s our roundup of the 20 best new Canadian restaurants of 2020.

Source link

قالب وردپرس

10 Best Fried Chicken Spots in Canada Open Right Now

SOURCE

british-columbia

calgary

canada

chicken

chicken-sandwich

complex-ca

coronavirus

covid-19

dfp-food

dfp-food-restaurants

edmonton

Featured

food

fried-chicken

lists

montreal

Music

News

quebec

tier-two

toronto

vancouver

winnipeg

The world sucks, so eat a fried chicken sammy about it. And really, there’s nothing more comforting than a perfectly seasoned, crispy-on-the-outside-tender-on-the-inside piece of fried chicken.

Toronto residents are clearly onboard with using meat submerged in hot oil as a coping mechanism. Earlier this year, in The Before Times, one of the city’s favourite fried chicken shops, PG Clucks, sold out of its main menu item—you know, chicken—forcing them to close both locations earlier than usual that day.

“Sold out of chicken after having an unforeseen crazy busy weekend,” the paper sign that was posted to the shop window read. The brand also took to social media to share the news, adding that they’d be “back at [the] fryers” the next day, for business as usual.

Great, now we’re all craving fried chicken. Read on for the best spots to get it in Canada that are serving up hot and tasty takeaway during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Source link

قالب وردپرس
