Just a week after he signed a futures contract with the Chiefs, former Raiders cornerback Damon Arnette has been released by Kansas City after he was arrested Friday night in Las Vegas for allegedly threatening a parking valet with a gun.
TMZ reports Arnette, 25, was arrested after a dispute involving a gun was reported at Park MGM on Las Vegas Boulevard shortly before 6 p.m. Friday.
Arnette was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, carrying or concealing a gun without a permit, possession of marijuana or cannabis, and possession of a controlled substance, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Arnette is reportedly being held without bail and is expected to appear in court Sunday morning.
The 19th overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Arnette was released by the Raiders in November after a video was posted showing him making death threats while holding a gun. Two months later, Kansas City gave the Ohio State alum a second chance, signing him to a reserve/futures contract on Jan. 20.
In 2 seasons with the Raiders, Arnette played in just 13 games, racking up 29 tackles.
