Chris Brown has publicly shared criticism over the attention being given to his latest album, while simultaneously announcing the release date for its deluxe edition.

Breezy, Brown’s tenth solo studio album, was released last month and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Brown, however, argued in a recent Instagram Stories update that it “seems like y’all only invest in the negative stories about me.”

When he “gets in trouble,” Brown further argued, “the whole world is on it.” But—as Brown claimed while using the cricket emoji—that’s not the case when he releases new music.

“I’m back on my gangsta shit,” he said in another IG Stories update. “It’s BRACKIN at all times.”

The Billboard 200 albums chart dated July 9 sees Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti returning to the top spot, marking the album’s third nonconsecutive week in the position. Honestly, Nevermind—Drake’s swiftly delivered follow-up to last year’s Certified Lover Boy—fell to No. 3 from its prior position in the top spot one week prior. Sandwiched between those two releases, meanwhile, is Luke Combs’ Growin’ Up.

Chris Brown is currently in the middle of a run of international tour dates, including the 2022 edition of the Wireless Festival. Later this month, he’ll kick off a run of U.S. dates starting with a stop at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Rolling Loud-backed run, officially titled the One of Them Ones tour, marks a co-headlining jaunt with Lil Baby.
