Colin Kaepernick’s Attorney Criticizes JAY-Z’s NFL Deal: ‘Cold-Blooded’

Colin Kaepernick‘s attorney Mark Geragos criticized JAY-Z‘s newly announced Roc Nation and NFL partnership while speaking to ABC News.
“This deal between Jay-Z and the NFL crosses the intellectual picket line,” Geragos said. The attorney, who also called the deal “cold-blooded,” said that Kaep wasn’t informed about it. “I can confirm to you that the deal was already done prior to any conversation that [Kaepernick] had with Jay-Z and he certainly didn’t have any conversations with the NFL,” Geragos explained.
Geragos isn’t the only one who has slammed JAY, who is also reportedly in the process of becoming part owner of a NFL team, over the partnership. “JAY-Z claimed to be a supporter of Colin,” Eric Reid said of the deal. “Wore his jersey. Told people not perform at the supper bowl because of the treatment that the NFL did to Colin and now he’s going to be a part owner. It’s kind of despicable.”

Interesting timing on the partnership with Jay-Z on the heels of Stephen Ross’ fundraiser for Donald Trump and the backlash his other companies are getting because of it. #PayAttentionFolks

On the flip side, Killer Mike, while on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, said that he thinks Kaep will get “a tryout” if JAY does in fact become part owner of a NFL franchise.
