Conor McGregor has been celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all weekend.
The MMA fighter began his party on Saturday night, heading to Boston’s TD Garden to give the Bruins a pep talk before their game with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He also went out for the ceremonial puck drop. He watched the game among Bruins die-hards and celebrated the win with the team after the game.
Conor managed to hit up the capital of St. Patrick’s celebrations despite being in Chicago earlier in the day. McGregor led that city’s St. Patrick’s Day parade in the morning before flying to Boston for the game.
All of this partying came in spite of McGregor’s recent arrest. The fighter was picked up by police after allegedly smashing a fan’s phone and stealing it.
Ahmed Abdirzak, 22, said that McGregor “flew into a rage” when Abdirzak attempted to take a photo of McGregor outside of Miami’s Fontainebleau hotel. Abdirzak said that McGregor took his phone and stomped it before leaving with it. Police charged McGregor with felony strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief. Part of the exchange was captured on video.
Abdirzak is suing for over $15,000 in damages.
