Conor McGregor Gifts Boston Firefighters With Whiskey and World Series Tickets

Written by on October 19, 2018

Conor McGregor has made a lot of money this year, and most of that money came from his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, walking away with a reported $50 million despite walking away a loser.

TMZ reports that he’s already splurging that money, and he’s doing it to treat ten of Boston’s firefighters to show his appreciation for the work they do.

Coming into Back Bay fire station in Boston to deliver the gifts, McGregor gave ten lucky firefighters tickets to the first game of the World Series, giving them all the opportunity to see the Red Sox play at Fenway Park.

Not only that, but he also opened up some Proper No. Twelve whiskey, giving each of them a bottle of their own to take home. For someone who’s got something of a bad-boy attitude, this is definitely a pretty nice way for him to share some of his wealth.

After he gifted the bottles of Proper No. Twelve, TMZ says the whiskey company pledged to donate $5 for every case sold to local first responder organizations and charities.

After a year of some pretty bad press, the news of McGregor’s fire station visit comes at an opportune time. For the uninitiated, a brawl broke out between McGregor and Khabib’s teams following their fight, with a member of McGregor’s team allegedly throwing insults at Khabib from outside the ring.
