After scooping up Kelly Oubre Jr. in late 2018 and kicking off a promising comeback to the court with the Eric Avar-designed All Star Pro BB model, Converse is continuing to make moves in the hoops world with the reported signing of Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green.
News of the brand’s latest signing was broken by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, who reports that Green will become the brand’s highest profile signing since Dwyane Wade. Before signing with Jordan Brand and later Li-Ning, Wade was Converse’s top NBA athlete during a six-year deal that latest from 2003 to 2009.
Prior to his move to Converse, Green was a Nike athlete who regularly received his own PE colorways.
Specifics of Green’s deal have yet to be announced, but the Warriors are in action tonight against the Denver Nuggets, so it’s possible the big man could break out a pair of Converse before the day’s over.
