During Daniel “Tekashi 6ix9ine” Hernandez’s highly-publicized sentencing on Wednesday, it was revealed that the rapper has a second daughter.
Judge Paul Engelmayer mentioned a letter that was received from a woman named Marlena. “In brief, the letter states that Mr. Hernandez and Marlena are the parents of the child who was born in November 2018. The letter is complimetary of Mr. Hernandez,” Engelmayer said. It is expected that Marlena’s letter will be made public soon.
6ix9ine apologized to his family and both of his daughters at the sentencing. “I’m sorry to the world, I’m sorry to my family, to my daughters, to my fans and followers people who believed in me, and to the other families who are affected by this and to this courtroom.”
Sara Molina, the mother of 6ix9ine’s first child, spoke with VladTV earlier this year and claimed the rapper had gotten “a few” women pregnant while they were together. “There’s only one child present, and the DNA isn’t in yet, but I believe that’s his child,” she said at the time. “That can be his kid, and he admitted that to me.”
In an interview with No Jumper, she said she regretted the VladTV talk.
On Wednesday, the controversial rapper received a two-year prison sentence and five years of supervised release. When he is released in 2020, he will serve 300 hours of community service and pay a $35,000 fine. The sentence includes the 13 months he’s already served, and his lawyer has said the rapper will be free by July 2020. During the hearing, 6ix9ine also apologized for his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.
