Danny Brown is back with his much-anticipated album, uknowhatimsayin¿
The Detroit-born rapper teased the effort during a June interview with Complex, revealing it would be produced by a hip-hop legend who was later confirmed to be Q-Tip.
“Working with Tip was a real humbling experience you know. It’s like a restart—I feel like it’s a whole new start again,” Danny said during an appearance on Beats 1 radio with Zane Lowe. “I just feel like I came full circle. Going back to the beginning, going back to the basics. Dope beats, dope rhymes, not thinking too hard about nothing — just whatever’s dope is dope. It ain’t about no crazy concept.”
uknowhatimsayin¿ is Danny’s first studio since 2016’s Atrocity Exhibition. The project delivers 11 tracks, including the previously released “Dirty Laundry,” “Best Life,” and “3 Tearz” featuring Run the Jewels. Blood Orange, JPEGMAFIA, and Obongjayar also contributed on the album.
