Danny Trejo Helped Save a Child Who Got Trapped After Car Flipped Over

Actor Danny Trejo saved a special-needs child who got trapped in a vehicle after a car accident occurred, ABC7 reports.
The accident happened on Wednesday afternoon in the Sylmar neighborhood of Los Angeles after a car ran a red light. The boy was trapped after the vehicle he was in flipped over and landed on its roof. Trejo, and a young woman, helped to recuse the child.
Firefighters were able to free the boy’s grandmother from the car. Luckily, no one suffered life-threatening injuries.
Trejo said that he has experience working with special-needs children and knew what to do in the situation.
“He was panicked,” Trejo explained. “I said, ‘OK we have to use our superpowers.’ So he screamed ‘superpowers’ and we started yelling ‘superpowers.” I said do this, with the muscles. He said ‘muscles.'”
Trejo added: “We got kind of a bond. I kept facing him away from the accident.”

“Pay attention,” Trejo, who’s 75 years old, said, warning drivers. “And the only thing that saved that little kid was his car seat, honest to God.”
The accident is currently being investigated by authorities.
