Dave Chappelle Announces ‘Chappelle’s Show’ Is Returning to Netflix

Written by on February 12, 2021

Chappelle’s Show is coming back on Netflix with the blessing of its creator on Feb. 12.

Dave Chappelle made the announcement at the end of a clip from a stand-up performance he did at Stubb’s Bar-B-Q in Austin, Texas and thanked Netflix head Ted Sarandos for removing the show at his request back in November.

“And when I found out they were streaming ‘Chappelle’s Show,’ I was furious,” Chappelle previously said in an 18-minute-long clip he posted to Instagram. “How could they not– how could they not know? So you know what I did? I called them and I told them that this makes me feel bad… And you want to know what they did? They agreed that they would take it off their platform just so I could feel better.”

Elsewhere in the ten minute clip, which is titled “Redemption Song,” Chappelle talks about getting and recovering from COVID-19, the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, and more.

Check it out below.
