Denzel Curry Recruits Key Glock for “Walkin” Remix
Written by SOURCE on June 1, 2022
Key Glock has lent his lyrical talents to Denzel Curry’s single “Walkin,” giving the Melt My Eyez See Your Future track his signature braggadocious flair.
“Tomorrow’s never certain and we all go through different obstacles everyday,” Curry said of the remix in a statement. “The objective is to keep on walkin, or keep pushing forward. I reached out to Glock because I felt like he’s the perfect example of ‘Walkin.’ Based on everything he been through & also being independent, it hasn’t stopped his grind. I’ve always been a fan of Memphis hip hop so it just felt right.”
Denzel Curry’s fifth studio LP Melt My Eyez See Your Future dropped on March 25 and features appearances from 6lack, Rico Nasty, J.I.D, T-Pain, slowthai and others. Glock also dropped off the deluxe edition of his Yellow Tape 2 project on March 25, which added 10 new tracks to the album and brought the total song count up to 30.
The remix of “Walkin” comes as Curry wraps the European leg of his world tour. He is set to return to the States on June 11 where he’ll perform at Governors Ball in New York. From there, he’ll continue to tour North America and perform at festivals such as the Bonnaroo on June 17 and Pharrell’s Something in the Water Festival on June 19. He’ll close things out by performing at Lollapalooza in Chicago on July 31 and Music Midtown in Atlanta on Sept. 18.
