Disney CEO Bob Chapek announced in an earnings call Wednesday that the Disney+ limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi will debut on May 25.
Disney+ confirmed the date soon after, along with a new poster showing Ewan McGregor, who is reprising his role as the younger Obi-Wan.
According to Disney, the series will pick up “ten years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.” Hayden Christensen is also returning to play Anakin Skywalker as he slowly becomes the Darth Vader in 1977’s Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. The cast includes Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit), Joel Edgerton (Loving), Kumail Nanjiani (Eternals), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), and Benny Safdie (Good Times).
