Disney Says ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Will Conclude ‘With a Bombastic Bang’

Avengers: Endgame isn’t exactly a movie in need of any more hype, the past decade of Marvel blockbusters has already laid that groundwork. But it also isn’t a movie that’s going to come up short on the marketing front, and so it should come as no surprise that Disney is going to let out little tidbits over the next several months in an effort to get you more than ready for the film’s release next year.
On that note, a press release was just disseminated to the public by Disney stating that the film will wrap with a surprise ending for the whole saga. Now, that press release was written in German, but luckily Comicbook.com translated it. According to them it said:
Dear colleagues,
It is the most expected trailer of the year. What started with Iron Man in 2008, is going to end with a bombastic bang. After lots of adventures and the most dramatic final in the recent movie history of Avengers: Infinity War, all threads of the Marvel Cinematic Universe converge to the ultimate, game-changing showdown.
While fan expectations will be through the roof, the films directors (Joe and Anthony Russo) told Business Insider that they’re just trying to meet their own expectations, and hopefully everything else works out in the end.
“When Joe and I got hired to direct Winter Soldier, that movie was many multiples larger than anything we’d ever done before as filmmakers,” Anthony said. “But the way we work as filmmakers is we have to satisfy ourselves first and foremost. If we’re making a movie that excites us, that’s the best we can do. We can’t predict if people are going to like it, we just know whether we like it. That’s how we’ve made every one of our Marvel movies and it’s how we’re making this one. For all of the anticipation and anxiety about it, nothing serves Joe and I better than staying focused on the story we’re trying to tell and telling it the best way we can.”
Though it’s unlikely to sneak up on you, the movie hits theaters April 26. In the meantime watch the (record breaking) trailer again up top.
