Disney World Visitor Banned For Life After Punching Employee

Written by on July 23, 2019

A woman was banned from Disney World after she punched an employee and took control of the ride.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, a Chicago woman identified as Jessica Grines, was attempting to ride the Tower of Terror when she and her group were informed that the FastPasses they purchased could not be used to cut the ride’s line. This sparked an argument between Grines and Tower of Terror employee, Taylor Gragert.

Grines reportedly grew angrier as Gragert tried to help her with the situation, at which point Gargeret called security. Per the report, that’s when Grines “began pushing buttons on her ride podium.” Despite warning her that this could ruin the ride, Grines didn’t stop. When Gragert tried to remove Grines’ hands from the podium, Grines punched the employee in the face.

After the initial punch, the situation escalated as Grines’ family allegedly “continued to yell profanities” at Gragert and “record her with their phones.” A witness standing in the line called local law enforcement, and once security arrived, the group left the ride as the employee explained the situation. Grines and her family were quickly found by the officials. When the police arrived, Gragert refused medical treatment and declined to press charges against Grines. That didn’t stop Disney World from banning Grines from the park for the rest of her life.

“We don’t tolerate unsafe behavior,” a Disney spokeswoman told the Orlando Sentinel. The publication could not reach Grines for comment.
