DJ Quik is understandably unhappy about new accusations from Keefe D, who says Quik was involved in the Notorious B.I.G.’s murder.
In a new interview with The Art of Dialogue, Keefe D—the uncle of the man who allegedly killed 2Pac in 1996—talked about the night Biggie was killed, saying Smalls wouldn’t have died if Diddy let Keefe and his crew stay on as security at the Vibe after-party.
“[Quik] showed up with them Blood dudes,” Keefe said. “My homies was out and was like, ‘Them n***as are here.’ I went and relayed the messages that DJ Quik and the dude Theo—he was a radio personality back then—was down there with them dudes. That’s where the shit went down.”
When HipHopDX posted a clip of Keefe D’s interview, Quik responded in the comments, writing, “I’m feeling real Litigious right now.”
He also posted a screenshot of a headline about his threat to sue Keefe, with the caption, “My Brand Aint A Toy.”
In the interview, Keefe D doubled down on his claim and addressed the theory that Death Row singer Jewell was involved in Biggie’s murder.
“People be saying that she set him up and [stuff] like that. That’s what the streets be saying, but I don’t think Jewell would do that,” Keefe said. “Me myself, I think Theo and them did ’em, the DJ dude. That’s who I think done it. Him and Quik. That’s what I think. I just think the setup went down in that type of way, but I don’t think homegirl did it ’cause Puff told me that they was there to sign with his label.”
