Dodgers’ Rich Hill Thinks Trump Should Focus on Country Instead of Criticizing His Team

Written by on October 29, 2018

The Los Angeles Dodgers appeared to have all the momentum heading into the top of the 7th inning in Game 4 of the World Series last night. The Dodgers just took a 4-0 lead following a three-run home run by Yasiel Puig, and their starting pitcher Rich Hill was rolling along to the tune of one hit surrendered with seven strikeouts over 6.1 innings.

With Hill nearing the 100-pitch mark, Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts inexplicably decided to pull his starter, and that’s when all hell broke loose for the Dodgers. The Boston Red Sox chipped away at the deficit with a three-run home run later in that same inning and took back the momentum before completing the comeback in the 9th inning.

Among those people on Twitter discussing Roberts’ questionable decision to pull Hill from the game was Donald Trump.

When Barack Obama used to discuss sports, there were times when he would tell reporters that he didn’t have an opportunity to check out something that was relevant at the time because he was, you know, busy fulfilling the tasks needed of the President of the United States. Apparently, Trump has all the time in the world, even though bigger problems are going on in this country, such as the 11 people who were killed inside Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue on Saturday.

When asked about Trump’s tweet, Hill stated that the president has more important things to be concerned about than one manager’s decision.
