Donald Glover Tells Critics to ‘Be Brave Wicha Blue Check’

Donald Glover wants his haters to show some backbone.
“I see y’all talkin’ on me. And I said it already: @ me,” he tweeted Friday afternoon. “If it’s a true critique, I need dat receipt. Be brave wicha blue check. Looking forward to y’all being mad @ me next week.”
The post came just hours after the latest episode of Atlanta season 3, which premiered last week after a nearly four-year hiatus. Though Glover kept his message vague, it was very similar to a tweet he shared back in January, as he anticipated criticism of Atlanta’s third season.
“Please @ me this year if u talk shit on me,” he wrote.
Glover’s latest tweet garnered mixed reactions. Some users reassured the Emmy-winner that the season was off to a solid start, while others admitted they weren’t too pleased with its direction. A number of viewers said the current season appears to be straying from its original concept, and is placing more focus on race and social issues.
New episodes of Atlanta air every Thursday on FX. The series has already wrapped up production on its fourth and final season, which will find its characters returning to the ATL.
