Dr Vades And Blanco’s “Ringtone” Is, So Far, The Most Unexpected Banger Of 2019

Harlem Spartans rapper Blanco has been very busy of late, dropping visuals for “21st Century Spartans” and his first Fire In The Booth for Charlie Sloth earlier this month. Looking to capitalise even more on his newfound freedom, Blanco has linked up with production duo Dr Vades for new single “Ringtone” — an unexpectedly feel-good flip of the generic mobile alert. Though the lyrics hit just as hard, it’s the bouncy, grime-tinged production and playful classroom visuals that makes this one reload-worthy.
With fellow Spartan Loski carving out success, shifting his sound from the clamp down and censorship around UK drill, Blanco may well be the next name to emerge from the pack over the course of 2019. Check out “Ringtone” up above.
